Sorry haven't been around the past 2 weeks, but I have been hard at work getting an exciting project ready to release! It is not food related (but you all know I already have ideas for getting food involved - like a companion cookbook!) but I really think some of you all might like it. It's a graphic novel that my husband The Art Of Roberto Campus and I have started work on. But a few days ago on the Autumn Equinox we launched our Patreon project to ask for support for the project. It is called Dreams of Ýdalir. And here is the synopsis. I hope if you like it, you will some and support us over at Patreon!
Fawn believes she has a greater purpose to fulfill in her life, but has never quite figured out what it is. Orphaned by her mother only days after her birth, her life has been surrounded by gossip and rumors. The village people tell stories of her mother leaving her in order to join her father in the land of the fairies. So Fawn’s life has always had stories of magic tied to it.
One day she dreams of a strange fire-haired woman who seems part human, part deer. Soon after she has recurring dreams of a kind yet mysterious dark-haired man who reveals his story to her and finally her place within it.

This is his story as he tells it and of Fawn whose life is forever altered when she learns of her true origins. From the halls of Asgard, to the enchanted Yew Dales and back through the ancient stories of our ancestors, spanning time and space this is a story of magic, passion, love, the human condition, the natural world and the hunger to understand our own individual place in the cosmos. ... Our sweet potato home-fries were spiced with the Scotch Bonnet Jerk blend containing Scotch Bonnet peppers, allspice and cinnamon. They included a recipe for vanilla ice cream with the peppercorn blend and I am definitely thinking of trying that. Love spices and these are fantastic. ... See MoreSee Less
I always tell my daughter to say thank you to the trees and bushes when she harvests fruit. This is a really wonderful article for anyone that eats. "They all announce themselves and ask permission of the forest, or the individual flora and fauna who compose it, to trespass, to forage, and to hunt." Some of you may not be aware of this, but food is my first passion above herbalism and above magic. I am a mom, then a cook, then a plant lover, and then a witch. The artist is in there too, but often gets to create through food rather than illustration most of the time. My parents taught me to cook...
