I totally agree Johanna! I love seeing people's individual spin on a recipe! So interesting!

I like your idea of recipes as guidelines - sometimes when I want to make something I search for similar recipes to get ideas about how to do it - it is one of the wonderful things about blogs, seeing recipes develop as they travel around our kitchens :-)

Thanks Patricia!

great minds think alike I guess!
Yours fell apart, huh? I am not sure what to say - I have always had good luck with grilling tilapia. I guess I would say don't flip it until the color has changed 3/4 of the way up - my rule of thumb for fish grilling!

OMG, Jenn! This is such a coincidence - I made grilled tilapia, too!
Yours look so much better, though - I used a pan very similar to yours, but my fillets kind of fell apart. Any secrets you'd like to share??? ;)

Your recipe looks delicious, sweetie!

Jenn, that's my rule too - recipes are guides! This dish makes one not feel shy about asking for seconds.

Hey KatieZ - it really did turn out to be a nice and refreshing dish!

Toni! I so know what you are saying. I really have a hard time following a recipe, because I always want to make it better, even if it really looks great!

Thanks, Sylvia!

Hey Wendy! I agree completely!

I'm with you, Jenn. Recipes are there to be tweaked to your own liking.
Love the sound of this dish. Very refreshing.
