Yes Peter...pizzaiola and polenta IS delicious....our version is similar except even easier. The meat (usually veal) is placed in a baking dish and the pizza 'sauce' is placed over the top of it and then baked until meat is cooked...I'm making it tonight...buon apetito!

Hi Windy! Well you do pan fry it first, and yes it does absord the sauce so it is not dry at all! Trust me, this recipe is so old and so used, it really is one of those classics! :)

It looks nice... But, hmm, how to say - I like grill or pan-fry steak because of the crispy texture. So if you put it back to the sauce, then the steak would be a bit soft? Of course, I understand that the steak would absorb the tomato sauce hence it wouldn't be too dry - do you get what I mean? :\

Hi everyone! :)

Peter - that sounds wonderful! I hope you try it and save me a bite!

Hi Andy! I know - fall is just the BEST time for cooking - in my opinion.

Hi Emilie - I love serendipity! Didn't expect serendipity from the Sopranos though! LOL!

Hi Nuria - let me know how they turn out!

Thanks Peter G. I love Southern Italian cooking (gee...I wonder why...?)! It is just so comforting and good!

Hi Katie! Hee hee - you are too funny! No it is not about Opera - however, I can't say what it really is about as I have only ever seen maybe 3 recipes. I know - I am such a bad Italian! LOL!

Hi Misslionheart! Let me know how they work out for you!

Thanks Maryann! :)

Hi Deborah! It is the perfect comfort food.

Thanks Kevin!

Hi Cris - I have never had Parmigiano steak before, but I can't see why it couldn't be done! :) But yes, there are similar ingredients for sure.

Thanks Helene and I am so glad you stoppped by. Thanks so much for your comment!

Hi Deb - well as soon as you are off tomato probation try this one out!

Hi Truffle! Thanks so much! Glad you like it.
