Who's ready for another Joust!!!!

As we all know, Peter and his Wife Christey blog at www.Fotocuisine.com and so they of course care about both how food tastes AND looks. So this month's challenge has some interesting and unique ingredients!

They are "Red, Green, and White"
Each cook should interpret "Red, Green and White" for themselves and come up with something really fun and interesting.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!  Grin

In New Mexico that could be nothing else than an enchilada served Christmas with a side of sour cream...but I think I do something more fun than that.

heheh Peter has been waiting a loooong time to win to use this. It's, of course, for the colors of Italy's flag. I suggested doing France's flag since he has become quite the Francophile with his cooking the past few years, but he made a really good point that there is no naturally blue food. hahaha   Grin

What a great idea!  And it leaves the competition wide open to interpretation.  Love this!

This challenge will be very interesting I think...... red, white and green hey?

Upset I didn't get to compete in last month - lost a lot of time with having an 8yo break her wrist... everyone did a wonderful job (lol much much better than the recipe I was thinking of entering!!!)

Got my thinking cap on for this one for sure........

Guess I'll get the ball rolling!  Here's my entry for Red, White and Green:

Avocado Ice Cream, made to look like guacamole. Instead of tomatoes, white onion and cilantro, I've added strawberries, coconut and mint. And a shortbread cookie "tortilla chip."

Here's the link to my blog post: http://ellesnewenglandkitchen.blogspot.com/2009/04/guacamole-ice-creamsort-of.html
