I am a relatively new blogger from upstate NY but originally from Brooklyn NY (the place I will always think of as home!)
I've only had my blog for a few months but I am loving doing it. I started blogging because food is my favorite thing to talk about, make, research, think about, plan trips around...you get the idea. I needed an outlet for all my food thoughts and ideas.

I'm hibernating today with a lot of fresh coffee and my cookbooks, sifting through recipes for carrot jams and pickles for the Tigress's February CanJam challenge - at least we didn't get the snow that hit DC and MD!

Hi Folks,
I started my blog this spring - www.NorthCountryRambler.com.  I enjoy writing about "culinary" destinations - restaurants, wineries, charity BBQ's, fromageries, you get the drift - all things food.  Any ideas for a column would be very welcome.  I travel with a team of friends and report on our adventures - picks only, no pans.  We focus on the Hudson Valley and the Adirondacks.  If you have a favorite restaurant, especially ethnic places and "bistros", please let me know about it.  NorthCountryJoe@gmail.com
