Hello everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself and my new blog to you all. www.livetocookathome.com

I am from Cleveland, OH and am a big fan of Iron Chef Michael Symon. I picked up a copy of his new cookbook Live to Cook (http://www.amazon.com/Michael-Symons-Live-Cook-Techniques/dp/0307453650). It is a great book and is much more than your typical cookbook filled with recipes. He provides lots of great information on how to improve your technique, tips around the kitchen, and stories from his past both related to his family as well as how he built his growing empire.

On my blog www.livetocookathome.com, I will be cooking my way through the cookbook and documenting it along the way. I'm just getting started and so far I've made some amazing fried Brussels sprouts (http://www.livetocookathome.com/2009/12/fried-brussels-sprouts-with-walnuts-and.html) and a shrimp dish in an amazing dill vinaigrette that would have been a lot better if I had access to fresher shrimp or if I wouldn't have over cooked them (http://www.livetocookathome.com/2009/12/shrimp-with-dill-vinaigrette.html). There are tons and tons of other great recipes to come. I hope you'll consider adding me to your RSS feed!

Happy New Year!  My name is Tina and my blog can be found at:
http://thesundaycook.blogspot.com/

Every Sunday I make dinner for my parents and I would post what was going to be for dinner on my facebook page.  Well, enough people were following what was for dinner and wanted to know how things turned out that I began my blog.  Also, my friend Amy whose blog is Vintage Cookbooks (http://vintagecookbooks.blogspot.com/) inspired me and gave me the courage to jump right in.

Since September 2009, I have blogged almost every week about what is for Sunday dinner and then I post After Dinner Thoughts.  My meals are mostly vegetarian.  I include links to recipes when available, and actual recipes when links are not available.  I discuss what worked, what didn't, any hints or tips I can share, as well as which recipes are keepers and which are not for us.

Thanks for having this community available where we can all learn from each other!  I look forward to exploring The Foodie Blogroll and meeting new people and new recipes.

Hello out there. My name is Renee and I couldn't be happier to be here.  I am new to blogging and am inspired everyday by the wonderful blogs I see and read by all of you.  I'm trying to learn as much as I possibly can but I dare say, I have a long way to go.  My photography skills leave much to be desired but I try hard and I've seen improvements over the past few months.  I run two food blogs.  My first one has to do with my decorated cookie business and it's : www.kudoskookies.com/blog  and my second one has to do with everything else regarding food and recipes : www.cookingbytheseatofmypantry.blogspot.com    If someone would have told me 6 months ago that I'd be actively posting articles and recipes to my own blogs, I would have said they were out of their minds.  Well, turns out, I'm the one who's out of my mind and I absoulutely love it!  Grin  In any case, I'm going in the right direction and learning so much from my fellow foodies and bloggers as I go.  It's a wonderful community and I'm pleased to be a small part of it.  I also want to give a quick shout out to Queen Jenn for being so helpful to me in my quest to get my widgets installed. I look forward to learning from the pros. Kudos to you all!  Wink

Love your blog on creative cooking. Isn't it fun to just see what's available and go from there?! Looking forward to your  contributions and contest entries.

Hi Everyone:

I'm the gal behind the giant chocolate bar at http://www.OC2Seattle.com.  I'm a So. Cal girl transplanted to the Pacific Northwest (what we do for love) and trying to find ways to get the most out of life, every single day.  Food is featured heavily because I love it!  But in addition to restaurant reviews and recipes, you'll also find travel adventures, book reviews and tales of good times and good friends.

February 12-18, I'll be blogging about the restaurants of Vancouver, cooking out of someone else's kitchen and the thrill of the Winter Olympics - I hope you'll stop by.

I'm so glad to be a part of this community and look forward to checking out all of your blogs.

Cheers!

Sarah

Hi! I am Bento Box otherwise known as Asfora. I am a mum of 2 and a wife of 1 :oP  and I love bento making and baking cakes, muffins, cookies and all sorts of treats, even if it's just some pancakes or popcorn!  I take pictures of the food I make for my blog which is here on http://blog.bento-box.org.uk  I hope to meet other bento making peeps and also get inspired for the more serious side of food so I can get some tasty "real meals" made so my kids don't just end up with fancy junk LOL Shocked) I'm from UK and live in Germany.

My name is Meg B, and I am really excited to be here.  I just started cooking (and learning to cook) in November of 2009, so I'm still a newbie.  But, I love every minute of it.  I've got a lot of great recipes up on my blog and I love hearing from others who love cooking.  I like to see how people alter recipes to make them work for their own supplies and skills.  It is so much fun to be here and I hope to talk with and be friends with you all.
Here's my blog - http://www.mycookingaddiction.com

Thank you!  Meg B
