Hello Everyone and welcome to the FIRST monthly Royal Foodie Joust!

I am really excited about all the entries and I just couldn't wait for this day to come!
The day that I get to round them all up and start the voting! To see the entries, please look at the July 1st thread - this is where all the pictures and recipes are: http://www.leftoverqueen.com/forum/index.php?topic=7.0

There is only one rule - please only vote once. The polls will be open until July 6th at 12 AM EST. So be sure to vote for your favorite! The winner will choose the next 3 ingredients for the next Joust which starts on July 6th!

If you are not sure which one to pick, just go with your gut. There are so many to choose from and they all look delicious! There is no set voting criteria, just your own preferences! Keep in mind, you will not see the results of the poll until you have voted!

May the best cook win!

Oh My Goodness....this was SO difficult! Everything looked so wonderful and I loved it all. It took me a couple of days of going back and relooking at all of them to finally decide but you are all winners in my book! Smiley

The WINNER of the first Royal Foodie Joust is Jennifer Of ...and the eggs  with the entry of
Scrumptious Camembert with Dried Fruit and Almonds. Followed in second place by Marye of Apron Stings and Simmering Things with Chevre, Date, and Walnut Empanadas with Mango Rum Coulis , followed in third place by Elly of Elly says Opa! with her Bruschetta "Pesto" Trio .


CONGRATULATIONS!

We had so many fabulous entries; it was so hard to choose a favorite! I thank everyone for their participation and I am really pleased with the number of entries we had and the delicious, inventive dishes everyone came up with!
I am looking forward to hearing what 3 ingredients Jennifer chooses for the next joust! The next joust begins once I announce the 3 ingredients and entries can be submitted on the August 1st thread until August 1st 10 PM US EST. The voting will take place for 5 days and the winner will be announced on August 6th! So enter to win today!

Congrats Jennifer!  And also to everyone else that took part. 
To our Queen, once again, this was a load of fun.  Thanks for initiating it.  Can this humble servant make a suggestion?  I like the Royal Joust logo that you've created.  Why not award that (with the word winner and the month included) as a 'badge of honour' to the winner to display at his/her blog together with their winning entry? 

Please Queen, this is just a humble servant offering his tiny ideas.  Please do not send me to the gallows for my insolence.....!!

Hey Dharm, actually we have done this - I sent the code for the winning badge to Jennifer last night and she can display it on her blog if she chooses. Great minds think alike! Wink
