I think we all agree that last month's challenge was a lot of fun and full of great food. Michelle (UsVFood) won with her coconut-yellowtail lollipops and she has chosen the following ingredients:

mango
brown sugar
cardamom

In her own words:

"i want to see everyone's mad pastry skillz."

Let the games begin!

BTW, this is Ben and I will be your host this month. Good luck everyone!

Congrats Michelle!

I love the ingredients!  I was hoping we'd go back to pastry this month.  Well, I guess it doesn't have to be pastry.

Congrats to Michelle!  These are fabulous ingredients!

A question -- how exactly does one define pastry?  Do muffins/breads count?

At the risk of tipping my hand ...

Forget pastry. Think salsa.

Does it have to be pastry? I'm a savory kinda girl ... gears in my head a clicking away.

By the way, I love the host!

I think that those three ingredients are perfect for desserts and pastry, But it doesn't have to be just that. Like some of you have mentioned already, there are many great ways to use these three ingredients.

thanks, everyone! it was an honor just to be nominated.  seriously, this is the first thing i've ever won in my life.  i'm a little overexcited about the apron, and i was super-nervous about picking my ingredients.

it's not like i personally have the power to restrict the joust to savory or sweet, right?  so bring all the mad culinary skillz!
